Warsaw woman charged with five counts of petit larceny involving charity

On January 4th, state police  received a larceny complaint involving a charity organization that collected goods for needy families.  A lengthy investigation revealed that numerous items were missing which were collected and were to be donated to the charity organization.  The victims were identified from a donation list and interviewed.  The allegations and subsequent investigation showed that Amberlee M. Veihdeffer, age 30, of Warsaw, altered a donation request list.  Numerous items were donated by victims and Veihdeffer kept possession of those items.  The items included toys, pants, shirts, gift cards, and other miscellaneous merchandise.  On March 11th, Veihdeffer was arrested and charged with 5 counts of petit larceny.  She is scheduled to appear before the Geneseo Village Court on April 3rd at 5:00 p.m.
