Beverly Ann Potter, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday (October 25, 2024) at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Home.She was born in Haverhill, MA on April 2, 1937 the daughter of Howard Platts and Elizabeth Crosby Platts. Beverly spent most of her life in Alfred, retiring from Alfred University after many years of dedication. She was also a longtime member of the Union University Church in Alfred serving on numerous committees.
She was predeceased by her husband Barrett Potter in 2008, and her sister Margaret Daggett in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter Heather (Louis) Mattos of Painted Post, her son Barrett “BG” (Kelly) Potter Jr. of Tucson, AZ, her sister Barbara Beckler of NH, her brothers Kenneth Platts of MA, Robert (Beth) Platts of MA, her grandchildren Colin Potter, Emma Potter, Grace Potter, Sara Mattos, and Christopher Barrett Mattos, several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Alfred Rural Cemetery.
A Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
