On October 11th, 2024 at approximately 5:41PM, following a report of a hit and run accident, Cuba Police arrested Brennan D. Smith (34) of Wellsville, NY. Smith was arrested on charges of moved from lane unsafely (Violation), aggravated unlicensed operation 1st (Felony), driving while ability impaired by drugs with a previous conviction in 10 years (Felony), driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction in 10 years (Felony) and criminal possesion of a controlled substance 7th (Misdemeanor). These charges stem from Smith allegedly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and being in possession of fentanyl. Smith was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Smith is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
