Wellsville: New business to open on Main Street March 14th

The stock market was in free-fall Monday but a Wellsville couple has faith and is dreaming big with a new store opening on Main Street this Saturday. Michael and Magin Dunaway are the owners of From House to Home, a new business in Wellsville that specializes in repurposed furniture, quality furniture paints, supplies and home goods.  From House to Home will be located in The Brunswick Building at 175 North Main Street and will provide customers a variety of furniture options that have been repurposed, repainted and upcycled in many different styles. Additionally, From House to Home has a line of custom made wooden indoor animal cages that can complement any interior design.

Monday night, the Wellsville Village Board voted 5-0 to approve a loan of $12,000 from its revolving loan fund. Loans are managed by the Alfred housing Committee. Allison Green, Executive Director, said the ten-year loan has an interest rate of 2.75% and is personally guaranteed by the Dunaway’s. Mr. Dunaway told the village board he and his wife “love Wellsville,” noting their children have grown up here. Dunaway is a former member of the village board.
