Wellsville Central School issues UPDATE

Wellsville Central School District has moved conservatively because of the presence of local positive cases of COVID-19. Essential personnel first entered the buildings Wednesday. After a deep clean, the priority was getting food distribution up and running. It begins Thursday at the Secondary School by drive up through the bus loop from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on weekdays. The meals are intended for any student under 18 regardless of District. We have received questions regarding access to the building for student items. Unfortunately, the building has been restricted to only essential personnel for the foreseeable future. Teachers and staff are reaching out to families by a variety of methods. We know internet is an issue for some families and some of our faculty as well and we are using work arounds such as mail and phone calls. The Secondary School has stressed students checking their email as a means of getting details out. Families can assist by setting up connections between friends and adults. Thank you for your patience. It's a tough time right now but we are going to emerge from this stronger.
