The New York Liquor Authority was asked Friday afternoon if liquor, wines and spirits shops would have to close down under the Governor's latest Executive Order. The Authority offered this response: "
No, under the Governor’s direction, the manufacture,
distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages are deemed essential, thus not
subject to the Governor’s ordered workforce reductions.
