Alfred Food Pantry is open

Alfred Food Pantry Open Regular Hours

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Alfred Area Food Pantry in Alfred Station is remaining open its regular hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.. In order to best protect our volunteers and patrons we've changed a few things:
Patrons will no longer come into the pantry to get their own food but will have their food delivered to them. The main door will be locked but will have a sheet with the pantry's phone number on it. Patrons are asked the return to their car, call the number, and sign in over the phone. Volunteers will then gather and box up items for each patron and deliver items outside and set it on the picnic table in the front yard, where the patron can pick it up. We will continue to ration food based on family size however, at this time, no additional rationing is planned.
Volunteers will be wiping down all surfaces they come into contact with as well as washing their hands after serving each patron. This new setup with make for a slightly slower experience and we ask for your patience in this.  Please make sure to take care of yourselves and those you come in contact with by keeping a six foot distance between you and by washing your hands and sanitizing surfaces frequently.
