BELMONT — Allegany County government officially rung in the New Year Thursday afternoon with its 2020 Organization Meeting.
The county’s elected leadership will remain steady heading into 2020. The November elections featured just one countywide seat being contested, the county coroner, and no positions on the Board of Legislators went before voters in 2019.
New coroner Dylan Foust was sworn in Thursday by Judge Brown. District Attorney Keith Slep and County Clerk Robert Christman also took new oaths of office after winning reelection on the Republican line in the fall.
Leadership positions on the Board of Legislators remain unchanged in 2020. Curt Crandall (R-Belfast) was reappointed Chairman of the Board, while Phil Curran (R-Alfred) was reappointed Vice Chairman. More HERE
