In on news from the meeting:
- Denied a permit for a "Team For Kids" boot drive August 9th.
- Approved hiring Barbara Dodge as a provisional part-time Clerk, effective August 5th.
- Removed Cassie Little and Nate Little from the rolls of the Dyke Street Engine Company and added Andrea Jordan; added Hunter Beckman to the Wellsville Fire Company rolls and removed Ed Fahs from the rolls of the Emerald Hook and Ladder Company.
- Fire Chief Barney Dillie announced the DEC notified him that the Department would receive a $1,500 matching grant for wildfire equipment. Dillie said they planned to purchase a new chain saw, gloves, forestry hose and other gear. He also applied for an $8,500 Homeland Security grant.
- DPW Director Bill Whitfield announced the paving schedule starting July 23. Milling will be the first step and will last 4-5 days and include: North Main from the Parkway to Madison; South Main from Dyke Creek Bridge to the Parkway; West State from North Main to Brooklyn Avenue; East Genesee from Johnson Street to Scott Avenue. Paving will begin August 5th.
