Alma Town Council to consider creation of planning board, rejection of highway vouchers

The Town Board in Alma will consider the approval of the creation of a five-member planning board when it meets Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Town Supervisor Ron Staedt told Wellsville Regional News (WRN) the issue was tabled at the May monthly meeting but the measure could move forward Tuesday. Staedt also said he will recommend that the town board reject payment of a packet of highway department vouchers totaling $459.52. He called the 20 or so receipts for payment "questionable" noting that some receipts had no date while others involved other issues. The supervisor also said the town had received a freedom of information request for these documents and he said it would comply.
