The Emerald Hook and Ladder Company and Grant Duke Hose
Company cordially invite all members of the Wellsville Fire Department, area
Departments, and all interested “Citizens of the Communities We Serve” to come
check out the newly purchased equipment obtained through the New York State
Senator Catharine Young sponsored grant.
Senator Catharine Young (R, C, IP) of the 57th New York
Senate District will be joining us for a brief display of the new equipment at
the Wellsville Fire Department Station 1 - Grant Duke Hose Co, 80 Stevens St.
Wellsville, NY 14895, starting at 3:00 p.m. January 12, 2019 with Senator Young
joining us at 4:00 p.m. Equipment will be on display and refreshments
available.
The equipment purchased is utilized for Firefighter Rescue,
Overhaul, Advanced Firefighting Tactics, as well as Confined Space, Water, and
Rope Rescue Operations to better serve our Community and Mutual Aid Agencies
with which we respond.
The Emerald Hook and Ladder and the Grant Duke Hose Company
received equal grants and have been working together in order to maximize the
impact in this joint venture.
