On January 12, 2019, the New York State Police arrested
Austin J. Pratt, age 30, of Wayland, NY, for Rape 3rd degree and Criminal Sex
Act 3rd degree, both class “E” felonies, and Endangering the Welfare of a
Child, a class “A” misdemeanor. Mr. Pratt is employed by FF Thompson Hospital
and is contracted out as an Athletic Trainer to the Geneseo School District. It
is believed that on December 31, 2018, Austin Pratt had a sexual encounter with
a child under the age of 17 years old at a location within the village of
Geneseo. Mr. Pratt was arraigned at Livingston County Centralized Arraignment
Court on January 13, 2019, and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on
$10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. An Order of Protection was issued to the
victim. The State Police and the Geneseo School District Administration are
continuing their investigations. Anyone
