PRESS RELEASE
On Tuesday the New York State Police in Horseheads investigated a fatal house fire at 541 East Franklin Street in the town of Horseheads. The incident is being investigated in conjunction with the NYS Office of Fire Prevention Control and Chemung County Fire and Emergency Management.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. fire and police personnel responded to the above address for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Responding members ultimately located one adult subject, deceased in the residence.
The victim has not yet been positively identified. The investigation is continuing.
