Elmira pair arrested for felony weapons charges in Cuba

On October 12, 2018, SP Amity Troopers arrested Rashad R. Graham, 23, and Tania M. Shaver, 25, both of Elmira, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Loaded Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Defaced for Concealment, and Graham was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
During a probable cause search subsequent to a traffic stop on Interstate 86 West in the town of Cuba, Troopers say they discovered a defaced .22 rifle along with three loaded .22 magazines as well as a small quantity of marijuana.  
Both Graham and Shaver were arrested and arraigned in Cuba Town Court, where they were remanded to the Allegany County Jail. They are scheduled to reappear in Cuba Town Court in later this month.
