My name is Sylvia LaChance, I have lived in Wellsville all my life and graduated from Wellsville High the year of the flood in 1972.
I am interested in serving on the Wellsville Board of Education. I was town clerk for the town of Wellsville for 20 years, I feel that the knowledge that I learned in those 20 years would be a great asset to the Board of Education , teachers and students.
I feel that every child should be treated the same and given the same opportunities as the next one. The decisions made on the school board should benefit each child, we are here to educate all children starting in Pre-K all the way to grade 12.
I would like to see more transparency, not just confined to the school's website or the Overview. I would like to see more people attend school board meetings so they can be given the time and opportunity to express their concerns.
