Court Appearance Date:  May 19, 2025

Proceedings:  Robert Schappacher has been convicted of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd and will be sentenced to 3 years in state prison, followed by 1 year of post-release supervision.  This conviction follows a sale of methamphetamine in the Village of Cuba back in January 2024.  The District Attorney’s Office is grateful for the work done in this case by the Cuba Police Department, which led to this conviction.

Address:  Village of Alfred       

Charges: Felony Assault 2nd; Menacing a Police Officer (2 counts); Resisting Arrest; Obstruction of Governmental Administration; Criminal Mischief 4th; Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs

Court Appearance Date:  May 19, 2025

Proceedings:  Lucas VanDyke has been arraigned on an indictment which includes several charges, including the top charge of Assault 2nd.  It is alleged that, following a traffic stop, VanDyke assaulted a police officer causing multiple injuries by repeatedly biting the officer while resisting arrest.  VanDyke has been remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail on a separate Violation of Probation matter.
