Andover school vehicle crashes on I-86 - four onboard, no serious injuries-UPDATED

UPDATE: The Andover Central School District has requested that the (public) photos previously sent with the press release to NOT be used and deleted. This is to reduce and prevent further trauma to students, family and faculty.

At 8:16 am Saturday morning The Bath Volunteer Fire Department and Bath Volunteer Ambulance Corps. were dispatched for a one vehicle rollover at the I-86 East bound off ramp with four subjects total, two adults and two minors, and the driver possibly pinned in the vehicle. Upon arrival all occupants had exited the car. AMR Advanced Life Support was also dispatched to the scene and assisted Bath Ambulance to evaluate injuries of all four patients. Two were transported to Corning Hospital while the other two refused treatment.

The vehicle was a Chevy Traverse SUV that is owned by the Andover Central School District that came down the East bound off ramp and continued across West Washington Street, through the guide cables and over the embankment. Assisting on scene was the Bath Village Police and New York State Police. The cause of the crash is unknown to us currently.
