Dear editor, Allegany County citizens,
I'm writing this email in response to a letter written to
regional news in the affordable care act while the letter is heartfelt and the
story of triumph of a young girl having open heart surgery and by the sounds of
it doing well now years later thank God. The underlying message has political
tones that however aren't very accurate or true as we all should know the
affordable care act was rammed through congress in the middle of the night
without a single republican signing off in the bill in fact the speaker of the
house democrat Nancy Pelosi didn't even know what was in the bill as she said
and I quote " we'll have to see what's in it after we sign it" ,
As all Americans need to know President Trump and Vice President
Pence a few weeks ago signed an order protecting preexisting conditions for all
Americans. Also, most all private insurances and Medicaid will cover preexisting
conditions already.
As a father I’m glad to hear this child is doing well and
pray for her continued good health. However, we must all remember the AFA was
crippling to small business owners and fined the very people it claims to
protect if they didn't take the Obama / Biden medical plan.
So in closing I would encourage voters to get out and vote
for Tom Reed and President Trump to keep our nation's healthcare affordable, in
the free market and away from government run socialized healthcare that's
forces upon our citizens.
