Update from Town of Alma Emergency Management Coordinators

Update from Town of Alma Emergency Management Coordinators

Currently there are still only two confirmed cases in Allegany County. To date all other tests have come back negative. With the stay at home order issued by the Governor we ask that you follow the guidelines, as this will help in stopping the spread of the virus.
The local grocery stores are assisting as best they can by providing hours that are focused at only the elderly as well as offering over the phone ordering and paying.
In conjunction with the Alma Town Supervisor Ron Staedt and the Alma Town Board, at risk residents in the town may contact the numbers below to receive help in gaining delivery of your groceries to minimize your risk.
Town of Alma residents, those requesting this service will notify the store when you call in that you will be placing an order and have it picked up. This service will not be denied to anyone that meets the criteria for "at risk".
We have spoken with Save A Lot and Giant, they were very eager to help in any way they can.
Phone numbers for grocery stores participating in the delivery process are:

Some good news from the Town of Alma. Town Clerk Michelle Staedt has been busy this weekend making masks of local health care workers. These are made for free as part of the War on Covid-19!
