CUBA - Thomas E. Randolph, 61, of 9401 Keller Hill Rd. and a
former Ceres resident passed away on Friday February 14, 2020 at his home in
Mebane N.C. Born on September 29, 1958 in Cuba he was the son of Larry and
Helen Case Randolph. Tom married the former Linda L. Wright on July 31, 1980 in
Allegany, Mrs. Randolph survives.
Tom was a graduate of Bolivar Central School class of 1976
and received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from St.
Bonaventure University in 1981.
Tom was employed as a free-lance sports writer for the Olean
Times Herald from 1987-1996, and a free-lance sports writer for the Orlando
Sentinel from 1996-2005. He later was employed as a truck driver for Multi Foods
from 1994-1996, Sysco Foods in 1996, McLane Grocery Distribution Co. 1996-2005,
Stroehmann Bakeries 2005-2007, Wal Mart Private Fleet from 2007 until the time
of his death.
Tom participated annually in the ride for Roswell, helping
to raise money for cancer research.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother Helen
Randolph Olean. Three Children, Sean (Jill) Randolph Cuba, Shelly Woodruff Jamestown, Shane (Kimberly)
Randolph Springville. Nine Grandchildren. Four Sisters Barbara J. (Ricky) Rupp
Kingsland GA. Nancy (Doug) Hamilton Hammondsport, Patricia (Gilbert) Colbey Lancaster
PA. Susan (Mark) James Cuba. Four Brothers, James Randolph Richmond VA. Kenneth
(Sue) Randolph Palm Bay FL.Michael (Amy) Randolph Portville, Andrew (Jennifer)
Randolph Portville. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a
daughter Shannon Pepper in 2015 and his father Larry Randolph. Friends may call
at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Saturday from 10A.M-2P.M. Further
visitation will be held on Sunday at the Faith Bible Church Little Genesee from
1-2 P.M. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 2 P.M. Pastor Ben
Ramirez will officiate.
