BATH - The public sale of the vacated courthouse at 12 Allen St., Hornell has been set for noon Dec. 7, with four open houses set for public inspection. According to Steuben County Commissioner of Finance Patrick Donnelly, the courthouse and former site of the county Department of Motor Vehicles , is no longer used for government purposes. The auction was approved Sept. 24 by the county Legislature. Open houses are set for:
1-2 p.m. Nov. 27
1-2 p.m. Nov. 30
4-5 p.m. Dec. 6
11 a.m. to noon Dec. 7, followed by the sale at noon, Dec. 7
