PA: Two killed in vehicle crash in Tioga County

A snowy road may have played a role in a crash that killed two people Thursday afternoon in Nelson Township, Tioga County. Pennsylvania State Police said George Lehman, 68, of Elkland was driving west on State Route 49 when his pick-up truck began to slide on the snow covered highway. The truck turned sideways, traveled into the oncoming land, and was struck on the passenger side by a pick-up operated by Randy Preston, 57, of Lawrenceville. Lehman was rushed to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where he succumbed to his injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, Sandra Ringer, 53, of Elkland, died at the scene. Preston was not injured.
