The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT)
will hold a public meeting and hearing on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, regarding
the replacement of the State Route 248 bridge over Bennett’s Creek near the
intersection of State Route 248 and Christian Hollow Road, in the hamlet of
Greenwood, Steuben County. Also to be
discussed is a project involving the replacement of a small culvert near the
intersection of State Route 248 and Van Sickle Road. The informational public meeting will begin
at 6 p.m. followed by a more formal public hearing at 7 p.m. at the Greenwood
Fire Hall located 1574 Andover Road, Greenwood.
The project will replace the existing bridge with a new
bridge on the same alignment along with the addition of a sidewalk.
Public officials and residents are encouraged to attend the
meeting. Attendees will be given an
opportunity at the end of the meeting to submit comment/question forms for
response by the Department.
The meeting location is accessible for people with disabilities.
