Belmont: Empire State Development & Southern Tier West to Discuss Business Incentives & Loans on Oct. 15

BELMONT – Representatives from New York’s Empire State Development and Southern Tier West Regional Planning & Development Board will visit the Crossroads Conference & Commerce Center at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 15, to discuss business incentives and low-interest revolving loan funds available to Allegany County manufacturing companies, entrepreneurs, communities, and other businesses.
This free presentation will feature incentives including the Excelsior Jobs Program, Start-Up NY Program, Employee Training Incentive Program, and include guidance on how to complete a Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) to receive economic development funds.  The incentives that will be discussed at the presentation take the form of fully refundable tax credits, tax-free operation in qualifying zones, and capital grant funding awards.
Southern Tier West will also highlight the estimated $2.2 million in low-interest gap financing options that are available through their organization and how business owners can qualify.
“Having Empire State Development on-site at the Crossroads is a great opportunity for Allegany County manufacturing companies, businesses, and entrepreneurs to learn a great deal about the incentives that exist at the state level and the practical information they need on how to qualify and apply for these incentives,” said Dr. Craig Clark, Economic Developer at Allegany County.  “Southern Tier West will also be present to add an equally important dimension to the conversation – the availability of low interest loans,” concluded Clark.
Those who are interested in attending this business incentives and low interest loan funds presentation should contact Angela McKay, Assistant Director of Economic Development & Planning at Allegany County, by phone at 585-268-7447 or by email at angela.mckay@alleganyco.com to be added to the guest list.
