Wellsville man jailed on felony weapons counts - ATF, BCI assist - more charges possible

Wellsville Police on Monday arrested Jason E. Slocum, 42, of Wellsville, charging him with two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th and four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Class D Felony).  Wellsville Police were called to a Williams Avenue residence for a domestic disturbance.  Following a subsequent investigation a search warrant was executed at the residence.  Slocum was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice O’Connor.  Slocum was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 property bond.  Slocum is due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 16th at 4:30 p.m.  Wellsville Police were assisted by the New York State Police BCI and the Bureau of ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives) and Allegany County District Attorney Keith Slep. Wellsville Police and the Bureau of ATF continue to investigate the incident and additional charges may be pending.
