James L. Cobado “family man”
WEST CLARKSVILLE, NY---James L. “Jim” Cobado, 50, of West
Clarksville, formerly of Oswayo, PA, passed away unexpectedly while at work in
his semi in Washington County, PA, on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Born on May 25, 1966 in Olean, he was a son of Kent and
Sandra V. “Sandi” Grom Cobado. On April
8, 2012 in Shinglehouse, he married Bonnie R. Williams, who survives.
He attended Coudersport High School. Jim was a self-employed owner/operator
trucker.
He enjoyed dirt track racing for many years and also enjoyed
boating. His greatest love was his
family.
Surviving besides his wife are his parents, Kent Cobado of
Allegany and Sandi (David) Coletti of Portville; three children, Travis L.
(Jenifer Low) Cobado of Coudersport, Michelle L. (Jared Preston) Cobado of
Oswayo, and Robert J. Cobado, at home; and two grandchildren, Launah Cobado and
Leightan Preston.
Jim was predeceased by his stepmother, Barb Cobado.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3,
2017 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street,
Shinglehouse, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Karmon
M. Wood of the Coryville Church of Faith, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKean
County Raceway, 7172 PA-46, Smethport, PA 16749, to establish a memorial event
in Jim’s name.
