Bridge Deck Repairs
I-86 over State Route 275, Town of Friendship
Allegany County
The New York State Department of Transportation has
announced that work will begin on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, on the bridge
carrying I-86 east bound over State Route 275 in the town of Friendship, County
of Allegany.
One lane of I-86 WB will be closed to traffic. Work will start with closure of the driving
lane for one week, and will then switch to a closure of the passing lane, also
for one week. Traffic will be able to
travel through the open lane with no speed reductions. Motorists will be required to obey posted
speed limits. The closures will begin Wednesday, May 31, 2017 and last for
approximately two weeks.
This closure is to perform necessary deck repairs on the
bridge carrying I-86 over State Route 275 at Exit 27. The work for this project will be performed
by the NYSDOT Bridge Maintenance group out of the Hornell Shop.
