Potter County: Portion of Genesee Mills Road to Close for Resurfacing

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the next portion of Route 1010 (Genesee Mills Road) in Bingham and Harrison townships in Potter County will close Monday, July 14. This project will improve ride quality and extend the service life of more than five miles of roadway.

While the contractor completes this work, the road will be closed between Route 1013 (Bingham Center Road) and Route 49. Traffic will follow a detour using Bingham Center Road, Route 1015 (Collins Hill Road), Route 1012 (Jackson Road) and Route 49. PennDOT anticipates this detour will remain in place for approximately five days while the contractor completes the work. This schedule is weather-dependent.

Work includes full depth reconstruction of the roadway and miscellaneous construction. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA, is the contractor on this $1 million project. It is a separate contract from the resurfacing work that took place last week in Genesee and Bingham townships.
