St. James Hospital and Cancer Services Program Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with “Think Pink” Screening Day

Anyone who has a mammogram at St. James Women’s Imaging & Breast Center in October will be eligible to win a fabulous gift basket, courtesy of Cancer Services Program.  

October 2, 2020…In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, St. James Hospital and Cancer Services Program are collaborating on a variety of activities.

The highlight of the month is a “Think Pink Screening Day” on Saturday, October 24 from 9am – 1pm at the St. James Women’s Imaging & Breast Center, 7309 Seneca Rd., Suite 113 in Hornell.  This special event is designed for women who are due for a screening mammogram but are too busy during the week.  Participants sign up in advance for a convenient ½ hour appointment and receive a free goodie bag and chances to win gift baskets and door prizes.  Appointments are limited – to schedule a mammogram call (607) 247-2218.  Free clinical (manual) breast exams will also be available that day – call 607-385-3900 for eligibility. 

Throughout October, Cancer Services Program will also provide informational displays, gifts for anyone who has a mammogram during the month, and a weekly gift basket drawing.  

To schedule a screening mammogram on Think Pink Screening Day call (607) 247-2218.  Health insurance is not required and there are no co-pays for screening mammograms. 

St. James Women’s Imaging & Breast Center offers the latest in breast imaging and services including 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and biopsies.  Other services include pelvic and obstetric ultrasound and DEXA (bone density) testing.  Cancer Services Program of Steuben, Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties provides no-cost, age-appropriate breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings and diagnostic services for uninsured men and women in the counties it serves.  For more information visit steubencsp.com.
