Changes made for court arraignments in Allegany County

Temporary changes have been made for court arraignments in Allegany County. Since March, when COVID-19 disrupted most everything, criminal defendants that were accused of a qualifying offense, were remotely arraigned by either county court judge Terry Parker or Tom Brown. That has now changed. A team of five town justices will now handle ‘off-hour’ arraignments, between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. The court appearances will still be handled virtually. The town justices assigned will rotate on-call shifts.
