As an update on the status of the Town of Wellsville
concerning Covid-19, the Town Emergency Management Team offers this advice -
Currently there are still only two cases in Allegany County. Some Wellsville
residents have been tested and quarantined due to being exposed. We continue to
work at keeping the residents of Wellsville safe and are monitoring essential
supplies at our local stores. We ask that the residents continue to maintain
their social distancing, cleaning of hands and homes, avoiding direct contact
with both the sick and elderly. If you do feel ill, call your local health
provider and they will instruct you on how to proceed. If it is an emergency do
not hesitate to call 911 and give details to the dispatcher.
We are still working on a plan to assist those stuck at home
and getting them the supplies, they will need. When this plan is in place, we
will make an announcement on local medias. Meals On Wheels is delivering meals
and looking for able people that can volunteer to help them in that process or
if there are elderly that would like to receive meals please contact Allegany
County Office for the Aging at 585-268-9390.
