Public will be temporarily banned from Wellsville Village Board meetings

As the coronavirus outbreak continues, Wellsville Mayor Randy Shayler said this afternoon that, moving forward, the public will be temporarily banned from personally attending village board meetings. Shayler said he expects that measure to take effect beginning with the March 23rd meeting. He said it would not impact tonight's public hearing or the highly abbreviated village meeting. Shayler said the village will conduct the meetings via a teleconference and members of the public and media could listen in. The move is in compliance with an Executive Order signed by the governor that modified a portion of the Open Meetings Law.
