Absolut Care of Houghton, others to be sold after bankruptcy filing

This information is provided by McKnight's Long-term care news:

Four New York nursing homes could soon have a new operator — and new names — if the state’s Department of Health approves an acquisition plan.
Personal Healthcare LLC filed plans with the agency to approve the sale of four facilities previously operated by Absolut Care, Buffalo Business First reported.
Absolut filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September, citing a “crushing rent burden” for its facilities. It also announced plans to close a 200-bed facility in Orchard Park, NY.
The acquisition involves four nursing facilities located in Dunkirk, Eden, Houghton and Salamanca, NY. The facilities have a total of 300 beds. Their names will change to the Dunkirk Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Eden Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Houghton Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and Salamanca Rehabilitation & Nursing Center if the deal is approved. Personal Healthcare plans to increase occupancy at the facilities if it receives approval, the report stated.
