BATH -- Two members of the Steuben County Sheriff's Department were honored recently for their contributions to the department, their coworkers and the public good. County Sheriff Jim Allard told the county Legislature's Public Safety Committee Monday county Correction Officer Brian Harrison has been named "Correction Officer of the Year" and county deputy Matthew Butler is the "Deputy of the Year." Both men were selected for their honors by their peers, Allard told the committee.
