Canaseraga voters reject merger with Arkport school

The message was loud and clear. Voters in the Canaseraga school district Tuesday soundly rejected a plan to merge with the Arkport District. In Canaseraga, 285 residents voted no, while 193 supported the measure. It was a completely different sentiment in the Arkport district, where the merger was supported 344-180. The vote ends a more than two year study of the proposal.
