Almond/Allegany County, January 15, 2025 – Today, I am excited to announce my
candidacy for the position of County Treasurer. With a strong commitment to fiscal
responsibility, collaborative engagement and transparency, I believe I am the
right choice to serve our County in this vital role.
As a lifelong
resident of Allegany County, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and
opportunities we face. My background in public service, serving the past 12
years as Deputy County Treasurer and the past eight years as West Almond Town
Tax Collector have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to
effectively manage our county’s finances. I am dedicated to ensuring that our
taxpayer dollars are used wisely and that every resident can have confidence in
the management of our public funds.
My key
priorities as County Treasurer will include:
1.
Prudent
Financial Management: I will continue to optimize our budget, reduce waste and
invest in initiatives that benefit our growth and stability all while
continuing to preserve New York State mandates.
2.
Enhance
engagement: I believe in the power of collaboration, I will work closely with
the Board of Legislators, County Administration, County Department heads,
County employees, County residents and any/all other affiliations to ensure
that all voices are heard and considered in financial decisions.
3.
Fostering
Transparency: I will work to ensure that all financial information is
accessible to the public, fostering trust and accountability in our financial
practices.
I invite all
residents of Allegany County to join me in this journey. Together, we can
create a more prosperous future for our County.
The campaign
officially kicked off with a room full of supporters at a New Year’s Eve rally
on December 31, 2024 at the Wellsville Country Club in Wellsville.
I look forward
to discussing my vision for our County and hearing your thoughts on how we can
work together for a brighter tomorrow.
