Whitesville fire and Independence EMS conducted a woods rescue on a dense walking path Friday night around 7pm. State Police were involved as well as private citizens with side by sides. The victim was rescued after approximately 10 hours in the woods off State Route 248 in Whitesville. Genesee (PA) fire/ambulance was also requested to the scene with a UTV.
Firefighter to ambulance: "You're gonna need a stokes basket...I'm headed into the woods."
