Bath cops make another heroin/fentanyl bust

The Village of Bath Police Department reports the arrest of Alan L. Sherry, age 50, no permanent address, on a sealed indictment warrant for 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, all class B felonies. It is alleged that Mr. Sherry sold the narcotic drugs fentanyl and heroin in the Village of Bath in 2020.

Upon incident to arrest on the warrant, Mr. Sherry was found to be in possession of an approx. 1/8 ounce of fentanyl and was subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Mr. Sherry was taken to the Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Court and will be arraigned at a later time. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Bath Police Department, Corning City Police Department, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, and the Steuben County District Attorney Investigators.
