(DANSVILLE, NY – The physical and sports rehabilitation specialists at UR Medicine | Noyes Health in Dansville are on the move!
Beginning Monday, March 23, the team will begin seeing clients in a newly-constructed space in the Brae Burn Building, 60 Red Jacket Street in Dansville, just across the street from their current home at Noyes Memorial Hospital. The new location offers convenient access and adjacent parking.
"We’re excited to offer a more convenient location, external to the hospital, for our out-patient clients to access the care they need," says Noyes President and CEO Amy Pollard, RN, "while at the same time staying close to the hospital for our therapists to remain closely connected with our orthopedic and pain management programs."
The change in location comes with a new name: Noyes Physical Therapy and Sports Performance.
"The therapy practice continues to evolve, and the change in location provides us an opportunity to better name it in-line with the care we provide," explains Michael Donegan, Noyes’ Senior Director of Diagnostic and Rehabilitation. "While we continue to provide therapy for the full spectrum of physical challenges, from rotator cuff repairs and vestibular dysfunction to lymphedema and wound care, the program has distinguished itself in the science of sports-related care, addressing the specialty needs of athletes of all ages. The change in name more accurately describes who we’ve become. We’ll certainly also continue offering Speech-Language Pathology services and Certified Hand Therapy."
Noyes Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, in Dansville and at Noyes Health Services on 50 E. South Street in Geneseo, provides a comprehensive approach to therapy through multiple disciplines, diverse skill-sets, and several areas of specialization and certification. "The ‘no pain, no gain’ strategy is not our mantra, and therapy at our facilities is not just a glorified gym program," says Donegan. "You will receive individualized care from highly trained medical professionals who invest the time needed to solve your physical problem, not just direct you around a bustling gym."
Noyes staff are certified in strength and conditioning, lymphedema, hand therapy, aquatic therapy, wound care, sports medicine, McKenzie spine care, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, post-operative care, concussion rehabilitation and more.
The move to Brae Burn makes way for construction to begin at Noyes Memorial Hospital on what will become E. Michael Saunders Imaging Services, which will add PET/CT services and a new interventional radiology suite to Noyes’ current program of digital X-ray, mammography, CT, MRI and other diagnostic imaging.
