State police have released the name of the person killed in
yesterday's accident. Kayanna Lehman, age 23, from Addison was killed when the
vehicle she was operating westbound on State Route 417 crossed over into the eastbound
lane and struck a Addison Central School District Bus. Two children were in her vehicle and escaped injury. No one on the bus was injured
and the investigation is continuing.
In a statement released by the school district, officials
said the bus was transporting nine students to out-of-district placements. All
students were assessed on the scene by emergency personnel. As a precaution,
students were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The bus
driver, Paulena Webster, 67 of Addison, was not hurt.
