The Wellsville Fire Department was dispatched to Jones Road,
off Hillcrest Drive for a possible structure fire, chimney related. Engine 1
responded as the first due Engine, right behind Ladder 9 responding as the
first due Truck. First arriving units confirmed a chimney fire with the fire
contained. Interior crews extinguished the remaining fire and removed the
contents of the wood stove without incident. Exterior crews worked to gain
access to an icy roof by ground ladders due to overhead obstructions for the
aerial. Roof crews confirmed the chimney was clear and units returned to
service shortly after. Engines 2 and 3 responded as well and provided
