Albert E. “Alb” Glover“beloved father, grandfather and
brother”
COSTELLO, Pa.---Albert E. “Alb” Glover, 68, a lifelong
resident of Costello and Austin, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December
15, 2019.
Born on Thursday, July 26, 1951 in Port Allegany, he was a
son of Thomas R. and Lula B. Eck Glover.
On October 16, 1982, he married Anna M. Clancy Leightley Glover, who
preceded him in death on August 31, 2015.
Alb attended Austin High School. He was a union laborer in the construction
trades belonging to Local 824 L.I.U. of North America.
He was a life member of the Austin-Costello Sportsmen’s
Club. Alb was an avid hunter. His greatest love was his family, especially
his grandchildren.
Surviving are three children, Curt O. (Jennifer) Leightley
of Austin, Jamie L. (John) Gentzel of Costello, and Shawn J. (Amber) Glover of
Costello; nine grandchildren, Nick, Noah, and Elyssa Leightley, Kevin and
Breanna Gentzel, and Aiden, Aric, Jacob, and Jaxon Glover; a great-grandson, Oliver
Leightley; a sister, Joan Tilburg of Costello; five brothers, Tommy (Penny)
Glover of Costello, Rick (Sherri) Glover of Costello, Joe (Vida) Glover of
Austin, Bruce Glover of Emporium, and Richard (Nancy) Glover of Austin; a
sister-in-law, Cindy Glover of Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Alb was predeceased by
a grandson, Ryan Gentzel; a stepson, Larry M. Leightley, Jr.; and a brother,
Chuck Glover.
In keeping with Alb’s wishes, there will be no public
visitation. Graveside burial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday,
December 21, 2019, in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin, with Pastor Todd Lamer, of
the Austin/Keating Summit United Methodist Charge, officiating.
Alb’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements
to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral
Home, Shinglehouse.
