Serious crash closes a portion of I-86 eastbound in Allegany County - one dead

A serious crash shut down the eastbound lanes of I-86 around Friendship this morning when a tractor trailer and minivan collided. Allegany County 911 told state police one person was trapped underneath the van. Firefighters used air bags to assist in the rescue. The crash remains under investigation.
UPDATE: News 4 confirms one person was fatally injured in the crash.
