The Wellsville Lions Club is dedicated to serve the greater
Wellsville Community in keeping with our motto: “We Serve.” One of the ways we do this is through
donations in response to requests. The
following is a summary of the donations given out during the month of January
2019 by the various Lions Club committees.
-$300 donation to Wellsville High School Christmas Give-Away from the Youth
Activities committee.
-$300 donation to the Allegany County SPCA to their building
fund from the Civic Improvement committee.
-$325 donation to the Wellsville American Legion for their
Main Street banner program from the Civic Improvement committee.
-$200 donation to Accord Community Action Angels 2019 from
the Civic Improvement committee.
-$200 donation to Hearts for ALS NY from the Health &
Welfare committee.
-$200 donation to the American Red Cross from the Health
& Welfare committee.
-$400 donation to assist a family with medical issues from
the Health &Welfare committee.
-$135 donation to Wellsville Little League for team
sponsorship from the Youth Activities committee.
-$1500 payment of three $500 scholarships for Wellsville
students from the Scholarship committee.
-$300 donation to the Friends of the David A. Howe Library
from the Civic Improvement committee.
The Wellsville Lions Club is able to provide these donations
by virtue of its two major fund raising activities. The first is the annual Lions show this
February 22 and 23 and the second is the extremely popular Trout Derby April 27
- 28. Anyone interested in becoming a
