Lockport: Man throws coffee at fire police during traffic detour

On Tuesday, Lockport-based state police arrested Luis E. Molina-Roman, 31 of Lockport, NY for Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd and Harassment 2nd. On February 4, 2019, Troopers were investigating a collision on Old Beattie Road in Lockport.  After the collision investigation, Troopers were requested to respond to the Rapids Fire Hall for a complaint of a volunteer Fire Police who was directing traffic on Old Beattie Road near Robinson Road due to the State Police collision investigation.  The 68-year-old female victim was directing traffic and advising a vehicle operator that they could not travel down Old Beattie Road.  The passenger, Molina-Roman allegedly became upset and used vulgarity and threw hot coffee at the victim.  No injuries reported.  Troopers said Molina-Roman was cooperative during arrest and apologetic. Molina-Roman was processed at SP Lockport and issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Lockport Court later this month.
