We have been members of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office
Chaplain’s program for the entirety of Sheriff Rick Whitney’s tenure as Sheriff
of Allegany County. Without hesitation
we can say that the leadership and support Sheriff Rick Whitney has exhibited
is second to none. At our monthly
meetings we gather to discuss the wellbeing of the members of the Allegany
County Sheriff’s Office and through those meetings over the years we have come
to learn of the deep commitment to the agency and people Sheriff Whitney
serves.
We want to thank Sheriff Rick Whitney for seeing value in
the chaplains program and for allowing us access to converse and pray for the
needs of the Office. He continues to
hold the door open for us to meet with staff and those in need, to have
relevant conversations and help officers that want it.
