Due to the increasing number of influenza cases in the area,
Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville is implementing visitor restrictions
beginning today, Wednesday, January 3 at 12 Noon. This is in collaboration with
adjacent counties. We encourage the
public to cooperate in our efforts to protect our patients. Visitor
restrictions are: no more than two visitors at a time for a patient and no one
under 14 years of age will be allowed to visit (except for healthy siblings of
healthy newborns).
No word on restrictions from Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.

Area hospitals restrict visitors
Due to an increase in influenza in the region, beginning
today St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell will enact temporary visitor
policies. According to the hospital, no
more than two visitors plus one designated caregiver/support person may be
present in a patient’s room at any time; No one under the age of 14 is
permitted to visit the Hospital and no visitors with symptoms of fever, cough,
body aches, or a sore throat may enter the hospital.
