Born in Hornell, August 19, 1958, the daughter of Robert F. and Shirley (Ward) Mehlenbacher, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Angelica Central School “Class of 1977”. On November 16, 1985 she married Timothy M. Allen who survives. Tim and Terry currently co-own and operate Allen’s Marine Sales and Service in Belfast. Terry enjoyed many things such as snowmobiling, motorcycling, mowing her lawn, cars, cooking, baking, shopping and wintering in Florida, but family always came first especially her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Robert Mehlenbacher, her step father Donald Coombes, and 2 infant children Ashley in 1985, and Robert in 1987.
She is survived by her husband Tim, her mother Shirley Coombes, 2 brothers William (Stephanie) Coombes of Belmont, Robert “Bobby” (Teresa) Ward of WA, 3 sisters Karen Paulman of PA, Bonnie (Joe) Nelson of Angelica, Donna Coombes of Angelica, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and brother and sister in laws, and her dog Axle.
The family will be present on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 1-3 & 5-7pm, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue in Angelica, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, with Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery in Belmont on Thursday (December 28, 2017) at 11:00am.
