Jane O. Putman, 78, of Westfield, PA, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, surrounded by her loving family. Born April 26, 1942, in Harrison Township, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Mildred Quackenbush Cratsley. On January 2, 1960, in the Judson near Sunderlinville, she married William L. “Bill” Putman, who survives. Jane devoted her life to her caring for her family. She was a member of God’s New Beginning Church in Harrison Valley.
Surviving besides her husband, Bill, are: nine children, Doris Putman, Ramona (James Wesley) Hults, Bernice (Randy) McCutcheon, William (Echo) Putman, Jr., Jacqueline (Dean) Erway of Ulysses, Edmond L. “Buns” (Julie) Putman, Maria (Joseph) Bliss, Benji (Amy) Putman, and Kristie (Phillip) Potter; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Sonja) Cratsley of Wayne, NY; two sisters, Mary Lou (Basil) McCutcheon of Harrison Valley and Sharon (Jeff) Dencenburg of Wayne, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two grandsons, Jamie Lee Hults and Randall L. “RJ” McCutcheon, Jr.; her step-father, Homer Smith; two sisters, Lucy E. Force and Shirley A. Houghtaling; and a brother, Chester Cratsley.
A private graveside service will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Potter Brook. Rev. David R. Brelo will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family.
