Felony charges for Travel Agent


LIVONIA - Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a travel agent who was charged with multiple felonies in relation to her business. Following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, Crystal F. Dragone, 64, of Canadice,was charged with ten counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree (class E felonies), two counts of grand larceny in the third degree (class D felonies) and scheme to defraud in the first degree (class E felony). It is alleged that Dragone was used by a group of twenty two people to book a trip to Cancun, Mexico. It is further alleged that Dragone took the $26,275 from this group but never booked the trip or the air fare.
Dragone was also charged with two additional counts of grand larceny in the third degree (class D felonies) for allegedly taking money from two other customers and not booking their trips nor their air fare.
Dragone was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for pre-arraignment detention and processing. The District Attorney’s Office recommended bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Dragone was later arraigned and released Dragone on her own recognizance. More cases are being investigated with additional charges expected.
